Jag vill at du skall bli lycklig Translation

My translation of the song “Jag vill at du skall bli lycklig”, by Agnetha Fältskog (1971), from her album “När en vacker tanke blir en sång.”

The theme is the singer’s boyfriend leaving her for another girl, but she’s very calm about it and hopes he’s happy about it. It has a similar theme to “Han lämnar mig for att komma till dig,” where the the singer’s boyfriend falls in love with her best female friend, but the singer is also very calm about it. Both also have minor key verses and major key choruses.
